GOAL - I would like you to sign this petition so that we can change the current gun laws to make America safe by ultimately increasing gun control by banning all assault weapons in America. This law was passed in 1994 and expired in 2004. Many mass shooting are using semi automatic weapons like in the Orland nightclub shooting, Parkland, Florida school shooting, and more. Let's get to at least 25 000 signatures!

Why Is It IMPORTANT That You Sign This Petition? - The lack of gun control in America has lead to the death of several innocent lives. Guns have been around for so long that Americans think that gun violence can solve their problems but they are wrong. After the Orlando nightclub shooting in 2016, which resulted in the death of 49 people, Donald Trump actually said that if any those people had a gun strapped to their waist, the outcome would have been better but how is fighting gun violence with guns going to make the situation any better? If the guns weren’t there in the first place, all these lives would have not been lost. In these mass shootings, they are using weapons like rifles that aren’t even used for self-defence, they are made to kill several people within a short amount of time but why allow people to even have access to these kinds of guns? There are so many republicans like Donald Trump who have the power to do something but they don't because they want to protect the Second Amendment. We must make a change now before more lives are lost.
