Keene is known for having community minded. Recently the Pumpkin Festival was denied licensing and now the Farmer's Market is being required to find a new location. The Farmer's Market offers a valuable service to the community and provides necessary income for our local farmers. It is my desire to see that the present location which is very accessible for so many people continue as is. People shop downtown and are able to purchase fresh produce, meats, etc at the same time. Please reconsider the burden this places on everyone...not just farmers....but the community as well.

If the city of Keene needs to vacate the current market space then civic duty, community value, local economic interests, and simple good neighborliness demand that the city provide the market with a suitable alternative. For a city like Keene to not value or advocate for a vibrant farmers' market is, frankly, appalling and disappointing.

Such a short notice to farmers was grossly unfair to them and their customers. The city needs to make space available or assist the farmers in finding usable space.
