I am totally opposed to the proposed project. Too big! Private sector, MOE, is freeloading on tax exempt space x 2. All of the parking is for the benefit of private venues.

As a former Bay Point resident and former Sarasota City Commissioner / Mayor, I consider myself a steward of Sarasota's beauty, charm and heritage. I am appalled at the blatant disregard for the preservation and protection of the adjacent long standing neighborhoods in the area. This is not an enhancement to the area or the gardens. It is a misguided over commercialization of one of Sarasota's cultural landmarks. Calvin Payne, rest in peace. This is just one more example of what we see daily that results from the overbuilding and excessive growth.Save our slice of paradise.

This is NOT about more visitors being able to enjoy Selby. I’ve been there many time during season and NEVER was refused entrance. They have NEVER turned visitors away because of overcrowding. Everyone needs to realize it’s about the money and not visitors getting into the gardens. Sign the petition and stop this nightmare in the making. They will do anything to fill the restaurant including LIVE ENTERTAINMENT nightly.

I am there frequently and was born in Sarasota. Please do not allow this it will change the whole marina jack atmosphere and traffic.

I have lived on S. Orange Ave. a few hundred feet from Selby for 30 years. I vehemently oppose the rezoning to commercial south of Mound and the traffic debacle it will cause.
