The Selby is so special. Yes, parking is limited but this proposal is too much. The Selby cannot he turned into an event center and restaurant. This is literally paving Paradise to put up a parking lot!!

Downtown Sarasota has enough parking garages. Leave Selby Gardens alone!

What a sin to even think of destroying the dream Marie Selby and her beautiful dream of the gardens with a lot of cement and make it look just like downtown Sarasota! Who is getting paid big bucks under the table for this atrocity.

We all love Sarasota for it's natural beauty. We don't need to have happen here what has happened in other larger Fla. cities like Miami. Keep our beauty!

Please! We are rapidly losing all the character of the Sarasota we know and love. Commissioners, please do not allow this to go forward!

The audacity is astounding! These developers and owners must be from another planet. The severe weather in the world is a DIRECT result of destroying nature and replacing it with concrete! Seriously, may they rot in hell for their ignorance!

Have read both sides....I am a definite NO!
Mrs Selby would I’m sure be turning in her grave ...if she could see what’s planned.
Little by little what’s made Sarasota unique ...is being destroyed.
Where does quality of Life metrics get weighed in decision making process?

I am a member of Selby Gardens and oppose this over-the-top expansion, which will harm the character of the gardens, the neighborhood and the city.

What r u doing! You are not supposed to do what a developer does, use what is there! I will never visit the new one ! What a shame you have been bitten by the gready bug.
