Everyone is at risk from the fires on the dump, not only residents, but tourists as well. Please find a solution.

We had no trouble when WWR had the contract they maintain the dump very good !!! I say give the contract back to the people who know's what they are doing or what have to be done !!!

I am no fire expert. A possible way to avoid future flareups until a permanent alternative solution for the landfill is to bleed off the gas pockets located underground from the digested garbage. By drilling pipes into these pockets to vent and burn off the gas future landfill fires will be more controlable. As a locally born native I used to work for an infrastructure company and proposed ideas for alternative solution but fell on deaf ears like with many other ideas I had.

Already many years Government is supposed to do something about this dump problem. All politicians should stop making promises in election campaigns that they cannot keep. Otherwise get out of politics. You are here to represent the people of St. Maarten, not to ignore them.

I hope this issue will be resolved very urgent, it's causing lung problems to people who have asthma and other health problems to all of us. I was in my office today at the Walter Lisbeth Road and I start coughing, I couldn't work, I had to leave the office. Please Council of Ministers put your hand on your heart and think about the people of St.Maarten. They are your people. ONE LOVE.
