This issue should have been addressed years ago. It is totally unacceptable to be told by the fire department to stay inside with windows shut--and it's not the first time!

Time to stop everything in parliament and find the solution to the dump. Gather recommendations and involve the community to get this health and environmental problem solved.

I demand that the Council of Ministers starts to prioritize and to address the Sanitary Landfill (aka The Dump) on Pond Island in Philipsburg, St. Maarten NOW! Without any delay and without any excuses!!

I'm sick and tired of this situation. As a tax paying citizen...born St.Maartener I don't derserve to live like this. Our government must do something like yesterday!!!!

We had to close our windows in Cupecoy tonight! This is a health hazard to everyone on the Island and an embarrassment to our cruise ship and holiday visitors!

This needs to be addressed immediately. First and foremost, the risk to both the local population and visitors is clear and evident. Furthermore, the government of St Maarten is exposing itself to liability, which, could be quite damaging. This simply cannot continue to be overlooked.
