The time for Government to act , on behalf of the people is now! This saga of the dump has seen every Government over the past 8 years at least , with no decisive action. We waiting - and suffering!

This issue needs to be fixed yesterday! We're being slowly poisoned. Which country that depends on tourism has their dump in the middle of the capital city?

I suggest we be more specific as to what we would like to see happen. What solutions do we consider feasible and problem solving? We can also present alternatives since the options that have been entertained thus far have not borne any fruit. We should not just set a communication deadline or a deadline for completion (for this can be set for any time period such as ten years from now for example). I suggest we request a start date within a year of the first phase. This commencement of the first phase should be significant and demonstrative of the willingness to resolve this problem and lastly the phases thereafter should start in a reasonably time such as a within a year after completion of the previous phases.

It is time, no question about it to find a solution to this very serious problem facing our island. Waste management can nor be ignored and until a solution is found, hosting "outside" garbage must stop.

Get rid of that cancerous mountain! What country would you find a GARBAGE DUMP in the MIDDLE OF THE CITY? Only SXM. Our government needs common sense.

As a frequent visitor of the island this upsets me. The island should take better care of all its inhabitants.

Dump needs to be vented so fumes don't build up underground and go boom causing all these fires which occur yearly now for past years. Whoever decided to block alternate safer ways to dispose of garbage is to blame. Let's not go on any empty promises as promises are just a comfort to a fool and we have been fools long enough. We are the ones with power we just gotta think about SXM and it's people!

We love this island. We spend over three months a year here. We want SXM to be the leader in living sustainably and caring for people and planet. This is not that. PLEASE!!
