As a civilian studying abroad it's heartbreaking to see the issue that has been ongoing since long before my youth has still not been addressed. Many have fallen ill and some have suffered irreparable respiratory damage! Please wake up, Government of St. Maarten. There are more concerning issues at hand other than your war for position in Parliament!

I have an idea:
1) Start by separating garbage into it's main components; plastic, metals, compost-able materials (cardboard, wood, garden).
2) Start building a (energy providing) incinerator that has the capacity for the next 50 years. The over capacity it has at the start can be used to burn the existing dump. In less than 20 years, the dump should have been completely incinerated.
3) the separated garbage components can be sold for recycling.
4) restore the intake of salt water from Great Bay into the salt pond so the salt pond can be restored to it's original pristine clear salt water and be a tourist attraction once again.
It's not that difficult.

Apart from the new hospital , this should be the focused of Govt to resolved . A deadline should be set to start within short . Very confident that this can be accomplish by the present Ministers .
