The proposed charges by the Council are completely unreasonable and if implemented will sadly see the demise of most sports clubs in the County. The sports teams currently offer individuals fitness, friends, community spirit, health and hobbies. The teams offer teenagers an avenue to do something positive and active with their free time and it offers children their first insight into how sport can change their lives for the better. It would be a completely irresponsible move by the Council to implement these charges when surely we should be doing all we can to keep the children of the County active, healthy and involved in sport!!

The proposed charges will have a massive impact on ALL sporting activities within the R.C.T. Whilst I understand that cuts have to be made, is this the best place for these cuts to be made? Isn't the health of the people within the R.C.T important enough for the Council to consider making these cuts elsewhere when they know the impact the charges will have on the community sports clubs?
The death of children's sport. what a tragedy!!!
