I believe the county can and should issue a waiver...the object is to employ and keep the best employees...county boarders should be irrelevant.

Deputy Sammy Davis puts his life on the line for the community and his family has looked for a long time to find the right house for his family and because of a few yards the county is telling him he can't live there and keep his job. That's just ridiculous. I know there are rules and regulations but obviously waivers have been given before so in this circumstance I believe one should be given again. He's not asking to move to another state.

If the child is living in the new house and is able to go to Broome schools I don't see why officer Davis can't remain employed by Broome Co

Union Endicott Schools there for I believe they should be permitted. Why would you want to loose a great Sheriff that has given many years to our county and is willing to give many more!

For the life of me, I cannot understand how the Broome County Legislature does not realize they work FOR THE PEOPLE. Granting Sargeant Davis' waiver is FOR THE PEOPLE. Denying his waiver benefits NO ONE. Your actions are not to the benefit of our county and you continue to make decisions that are a detriment to our county. THIS is one of your WORST actions yet...

I am appalled at the County Legislature for their unconscionable lack of compassion for this family. We are talking about mere feet from the county line. Was this some sort of power display? Did he upset someone in the republican party? I sincerely hope all who voted no are consequently voted out of office.
