There has been a long history of County employees that were granted waivers to live outside the County, including in the Sheriff's Office.

Couldn't the county simply charge the Deputy some personal leave days as a "penalty" for living outside of the boundaries? My hometown county does this and it's a win win for both sides.

Please approve Sam's residence waiver, this is rediculous, he has served our county with dedication and destinction and should not be rewarded with a choice of losing his job or his house!!!

If it's good for one it's good for the other just sign the waiver

This man works extremely hard for the county and his family. He is one of the finest deputies I have the honor of knowing. What is being done to him and his family is outrageous.

If waivers have been granted in the past, I believe one should be given to the Davis Family. The border lines are in 2 Counties which is a crazy problem everywhere. The fact that part of the property sits in Broome should speak for itself. Please help them out & save Sam's job.

Ridiculous. Why don't you actually do something about the host of problems that Broome County has and leave this poor man alone.

Residency requirements are outdated and unessesary.

If one person is allowed a waiver then everyone should be allowed...shouldn't there be a level playing field?

He should be able to live in his families dream home. Just a portion of it is outside the county. So what.

Deputy Davis is a key asset to law enforcement in this area, as well as all the areas who send their law enforcement officers to our regional academy.

If they won't grant this for the Davis family then they had better take it away from every one else who doesn't live in Broome County but works for the county! Can't do for some and not others!
