We need to be supporting our fine law enforcement officials, not stressing them with technicalities!

With all that he has done for Broome County, he deserves a break!

I think our County legislators have much more serious issues they should be focusing on than whether a portion of this house resides outside of the County. Let them live in their home already.

This is such an easy decision. There is absolutely no reason this should have been voted down the first time.

Let this family stay where they are. Other things to worry about in this world besides this ridiculousness.

There is no reason that our Broome County legislation should have made this issue on residency for Sgt Davis. If a section of the property in question sits within the Broome County boundaries, then he and his family would STILL be Broome County residents. Is it more important for certain members of our county's governing body to show that they have power, rather than ensure that our residents (with many voters, who do pay attention) and visitors be given the best in safety? Sgt Davis is an important piece of our public safety community, and certainly does not deserve to have his service disregarded for the sake of a very minor, antiquated, employment clause.

To the legislators that called the vote before even reading the emails, shame on you. You are not the king and this is not your kingdom. Please grant the waiver to Davis, who is part of the group that serves and protects you.

The Davis family should not have to go through this Mr Davis has served this community for alot of years. This is unacceptable.

Let's not lose a good man over this. Please waive the residency requirement.

This man and his family are actively involved in the community along with being a great public servant. I think it is reasonable to allow an exception to this rule

The family had good intentions and should not be penalized. Besides I think the requirement is arcane.
