What a great guy, lived his life like someone left the gate open, funny and kind and a real smarty pants. this is such a great way to honor him and those that knew him and loved him will have fitting place to gather to remember all the "good times"

Great idea to have the Sherbrooke field named after Dave! I remember going there on week nights to play with all the Sherbrooke boys and you could always count on Veg being there, just like anytime they would all come down to Bickerton to play on our field, Veg was always there. He loved to play and he was a great ball player, he had speed, could crush a ball, great glove and a great arm and lots of energy lol. I know for a fact that he would be honoured to have that field bare his name! R.I.P buddy you'll be missed by all who knew you, but never forgotten !

You will be missed beyond what our words can say because they are just not enough. We talked the day before you went away, at the ball field of course, catching up as we always did checking in on each other. Nadean, the kids and I will miss you very much. Your kindness, love of life, and generosity says it all. We will meet again someday on the field. Godspeed friend.

Dave was a very gifted ball player and just a great person. He touched as many Albertans as he did maritimers and this would be a fantastic memorial
