No more townhome developments, fast food/chicken joints, or strip malls. PG taxpayers deserve more!

I agree to this petition. Bowie also has some older residents who don't need nor are looking for townhomes with a lot of steps. I would like more recreation spaces for workout classes, craft rooms and places to get to know your neighbors. not liquor stores, gas stations and fast foods.

I support this petition. My property taxes just increased, yet the only visible changes in the county seem to be another Wawa, Royal Farms, or more overpriced housing developments—whether homes, townhomes, or apartments. Our school system, buildings, and land urgently need an overhaul, and we need more green spaces and safe, walkable areas. County administration must start prioritizing the needs of residents over the interests of developers.

The county council either should make it memorandum to let the public vote or make sure the people are involved. Im tired of losing our beautiful land to developers. We are so over developed as it is. We also have too many empty buildings and shopping centers that could be reused or torn down for other purposes. Stop building new.

Poor educational school system, Overpriced property taxes and High Crime are just a few reasons several residents are Leaving Prince Georges County.

I support this petition and do not buy the arguments from the developer community regarding the consequences of its passage. There is a reason that plans have been thought through, voted on and approved. We must not allow end-runs around these constraints just to support the profit motive of certain developers facilitated by their elected friends in office.

Poor development planning leads to poor schools, poor traffic and transportation, poor small businesses, and poor community. Poor oversight leads to poor planning. It's time to step up oversight by residents on development planning instead of Council letting developers have their way with no regard to quality of life and community in PG County.

What happened to Prince George's County over the last 20 years is such a huge slap in the face to all of us Residents! Can we actually elect County Officials that truly care about the People, Children, Schools, Jobs, Crime, etc. Yes, the list is long - but the point is TO CARE!! I moved here from NY because PGCty WAS the richest county of African Americans in THE WORLD! Now... I'm challenged with the large amount of Kwazzyness the officials blatantly throw in the face of Residents, the harm they allow to our Children & Elderly, and the BS they continue to bathe in and feel we as Residents have to accept! The Residential numbers are far greater than the elected official numbers. We as Residents can SHOW and VOICE that we reject the BS and the Kwazzzyness and will not tolerate it anymore! Our Voices are Strong and they Count! ALL of our Current Elected Officials need to be Voted OUT - showing our Residential Power and New Ones need to be Researched and Voted IN - Showing our Residential STRENGTH!! ASAP!! May GOD and ALL the Angels help us all !! Yes, we need ALL the Angels!!

Stop building homes. I moved here from a big city for the suburb/nature aspect. And not adding schools and police precincts is horrendous

We, the residents of Prince George's county have the right to know what is going on, not the council or developers. Be transparent!

Residents have the right to know and vote on what may happen in our neighborhoods. It's important to the value & sustainability of our properties and the quality of our lives.

I am shocked by the growing number of liquor stores in Bowie. A bank moves out. A liquor store moves in. Please stop!
