The regeneration of this village needs to mean just that and as far as Im concrned MORE housing just doesn't fit the bill when there is so much standing empty already! This lovely building in a perfect central location MUST be retained for community use and small business, otherwise Chopwell doesn't stand a chance :(

This building should be made into offices or same os the old school on city road in Newcastle for start up businesses

The hotel is at the heart of the village and deserves to be kept as a public use building.

More housing is not required, this needs to stay as a public house, prime location and with the right management it can flourish again

I believe there are numerous empty housing properties to rent as it is. Lets keep this building as a business for all to enjoy.

Bit of an Ex-Pat as I don't get into Chopwell as much as I used to. The Hotel was such a focal point in years gone by for pub goers young and old. Everybody knew everybody else in its' heyday. It needs to be brought back into community use.

Surely this would be better developed into something to bring people to the village such as B & B or a soft play.

One of chopwells oldest buildings is it not a listed building

It would be a tragedy if this historic building was lost to the village by being turned into flats. More flats is NOT what our village needs.

I think that it should stay as a community building as there is not a lot in chopwell for the residents and we do not need anymore flats in chopwell it could be made in to some for everyone
