Charlie Herron was both my sons' band director. He was a great teacher and an inspiring role model. We all loved and respected him. He is a wonderful man.

Signed! Mr. Herron was instrumental in developing the enthusiasm, leadership, and talent that formed the feeder program for the success of the DB band. Look at the people that came out of the RNR band and you will be amazed, not by their music careers but by their dedication and work ehthic! Mr. Herron was about much more than music!

Mr. Herron was a great influence on me during my middle school years. As an educator now, I still use things that I learned in his classroom to teach my students.

Mr. Herron is one of the people ,from my youth, upon whom I reflect. His approval was important and his influence steady and positive. It seems fitting that his contributions to the lives of any over so sustained a time be marked in such a way.

I was in band for Mr Herron's first year at Robinson. He made us work hard but we had a great time and learned so much from him. I was so happy that he was involved in marching band when we went to Dobyns Bennett. Mr. Herron deserves this recognition and more for all of the lives he touched and enriched over the years!
