This nursery has presented problems to nearby residents since it opened. Parents dropping their children off, park in front of and ON neighbouring driveways and arrogantly ignore polite requests to stop. On occasions police have been called and still the problems persist. This is not the right location for this type of business as it is on a busy main road with drop-offs and pickups being made when traffic is most busy. The previous owners were totally inconsiderate of surrounding homeowners rights to access their property as and when they require.
These premises should not be allowed to re-open as a nursery as it will continue to contribute to the tension that already exists between residents and the business operators.

It seems the new owners opened their nursery without any expirience & no care for the children, parents or staff. Do they not understand that care is the main requirement for running a nursery.

Lets not over compensate for RUMOURS and unhappy, bitter people who love to gossip. Sorry I dont buy into that. I only buy in HARD FACTS. Unless ive heard it from the horses mouths themselves i dont feed into IDLE GOSSIP. There is two sides to every story and im sure this is only one side. The information provided in this petition is not FACT. Infact, as a legal professional, I would say defamatory and slanderous.
FACT is, the previous owner didnt do much to improve the nursery - the OFSTED RATING WAS SATISFACTORY. The nursery was dirty, dingy and basically not anywhere that i would pay good money for to leave my child. I persoanlly would call it a FANCY CHILD MINDERS and thats why i never left my child there when i visited a couple of years back.
I understand people are always resistant to change, especially in a small village like fleckney, but i think this is the best change that could happen in the village. Blossom Tree Nursery was providing 'SATISFACTORY' childcare provision, quite frankly thats not good enough for my child and so i welcome improvements to the stale, static provision of blossom tree and welcome the new owners and their challenges in turning that nursery into we can all be very proud of in the village.
PEOPLE WHO SHOUT THE LOUDEST ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT! I spoke to the new owners myself to gain the facts and I will make up my own mind once the nursery is open again.

similar incompetent people took over the Kibworth nursery a number of years ago and that ended in tears as well. Don't let it happen again. Villages need well run nurseries where you can trust that the owners have the children's well being as the priority and not just making a quick buck

I have known the owner and staff at the nursery for quiet a while and all I can say is that it was run professionally at all times, the team provided a safe and loving environment for all of the children and reassurance to all the parents that left their children in their care. These people should never be allowed to run a business let alone look after children!

Safety of children must be paramount. This is not the case here.

its a shame to hear that these DISGUSTING people have taken over the nursery, they have made it very clear that they have no interest what so ever in the children's safety and obviously only in it to make money. What was once a professionally ran nursery has now turned into a failed organisation and I hope these people will never be allowed to get there ofsted registration and be responsible for children's welfare. Such a shame!

After hearing about the closure of the blossom tree nursery I feel very saddened that such a wonderful nursery that carried such a great reputation and had such caring staff and management has now come to an end, from what I have heard the new owners are only interested in the money side and have no interest in providing care for the children. This has been such a great loss for fleckney village.

I would be very concerned if the nursery was to reopen without an investigation into the competency of the new owners. The community wants and needs a childcare provision locally, but we need to have confidence in it. Unfortunately, confidence is not high based on recent events.

this nursery should never open again unless a new owner who is 'known' takes it on and can provide a safe and caring environment for all concerned, as did Anna and the team

To the anonymous writer who has said the previous owner had bad things said about her and the fact that family were employed and had free child care, you no nothing! Please state what u heard exactly! All staff that bought their children to the nursery had free/discounted places! I no who this anonymous writer is and would just like to say that as 60+ parents passed through the nursery on a weekly basis you my love were the only one that didn't like the fact staff bought their children! I would like to mention as an ex member of staff and family member of the team that I feel the team that I worked in were all like family and we cared for each individual child as they were our own! As a parent I trusted staff 100%and I left my children as young as 6 weeks! I was a family member however, I was an employee and was treated no differently to other staff! I fulfilled my job role just like everybody we! The previous comment made is irrelevant to this whole situation and as my sister said before everybody has been through a lot of upset through this situation comments like that are not needed! If I am correct this anonymous writer works within the childcare/school sector and should no better then to cause trouble by making up things! Staff and parents have made some great relationships and I'm sure we will all stay in contact.
As for the new owners I have experienced first hand the disrespectful and rude approach that they have. They have no regard for the safety of children, parents and staff! These people do not deserve to own a nursery and should not be eligible for their ofsted registration!
Thanks again to all the parents that have supported the old Blossom Tree team through this mess of a situation.

It was never a family run nursery as I was employed way before my mum took over. Mum took that place over as the people that owned it before told us on the Friday that they were closing down. Mum had the weekend to decide what to do and she didn't want to see staff or children with no where to go so she decided to take it over. If it was a family run nursery then y isn't our other sister employed there or any other members of our family? Please don't comment if u don't actually know the full story and stop making things up as there has been a lot of upset from this

4 of my children attended this under Anna Spiknell and her staff and they loved it! Everything was great Anna and the staff were great until these 4 greedy money orientated came and lied there way through a sale and caused every parent with a child or children there cause for concern! These people are not capable of looking after children!!! Do they not realise that our children are our worlds and we put them in the care of the nursery to be well looked after and cared for!! These people are a disgrace I wouldn't leave my packed lunch with them let alone my children! How dare they come and destroy a perfectly good nursery in a perfectly good community!! I want these people out of the village they are crooks and should be ashamed of themselves!!!
