I love Ellroy's work and De Palma's work about would be thrilled to see this. As it was, I thought there were great things about the released film, but it ultimately became incoherent.

This film needs to be shown as the director intended. James Ellroy loved De Palma's original cut, so that is reason enough, but it would also improve the film.

I saw The Black Dhalia in the theatre when it was released. I feel very robbed of my time and feel that retribution is necessary. Please release Depalmas cut.

This movie deserves to be seen in its original form. It’s a great movie which could, I believe, be better. Please release the directors cut.
