VI has amassed a wealth of awards around its culture.
But what makes up that culture?
We, the people of VI chose and were chosen because we embody the spirit of the company. We all love the openness, the camaraderie and the ability to speak our minds in any and all circumstance. We all feel a part of the whole, where our voice has a purpose and others are willing to listen.
In the past, we have always been advised with regards to upcoming changes. There have always been discussions, emails and forums to gauge interest, or at the very least to make us feel a part of the process. Unfortunately, the upcoming changes to the benefits plan have left many of us baffled. We all understand that it is entirely within the right of the company to make changes as it sees fit.
The purpose of this document is not to argue over the change, but rather to discuss and raise awareness around the manner in which it was addressed.
Those signed below, all feel that things may have been better served if we were informed of the change and asked our opinion. Other options may have been discovered, perhaps even a true reflection of which benefits are used may have led to a different outcome. At the very least, we would have felt included in the matter, rather than feeling left out.
VI has and continues to boast an amazing company culture. Please do not take away one of the things that unites us all, which is our right to an open forum and friendly debate.
