We have little in the north we have been to the air show quite a few times and had a great time we would like to be able to do it again !

Born and raised in Lincolnshire, I have attended this event on many occasions since being a boy in the 70's. It would be a shame to see it go.

Would hate to see the demise of the Waddington Airshow. I was born in Lincoln and it brings back many happy memories.

A sad blow to the air show circuit as not many of these events happen anymore , let's hope a new stage can be found for a premium air show like this in the not too distant future

Lincolnshire has been near-synonymous with RAF operations, via Bomber Command, for well over 70 years. It is completely understandable that a front-line operational base such as Waddington is not a suitable venue for a major public airshow. But given the historic links of the county and the evident popularity of the show, surely there is a strong case for the airshow to be relocated to a more suitable base.

How will our people have respect for our armed forces if they never come in contact with them I understand the risks to a working base, but if we never take risks we will never progress or prosper our past has its faults but without it we would not be who we are not the best not the worst but British for better or worse.

While tactical and financial considerations can be readily understood, there is no reason for an alternate sight not to be investigated.
Unless it is just expediency.

With RAF college Cranwell, BBMF & the Red Arrows, Bomber Command memorial, Lincolnshire has a special part of RAF history. An annual air display in the county is a must.

If Waddington is now considered unsuitable for the airshow then move it to an airfield that is suitable.....not just abandon it!!! What a showcase event this is for the County and the country....

With the terrain and big skies we have it is the most natural place to have this great show. God fobid it happens but if an aircraft gets into trouble there are plenty of places to put down.

Having attended many Airshows throughout the country over many years, I have always regarded the Waddington Show as being the best organised and the best value for money. If we have to loose it in future, at least have a replacement within "Bomber County".

attended everu time since 2010 and always amazed about british patriotism and supporting hroes. remember on battle of brittain celebration when all the veterans stood up and everybody was cheering, don t take it from us

Whilst I understand the sentiments and the reasons for the decision, the show must go on. What about RAF Scampton. On the face of it, it appears to be an ideal solution. Please, please don't let over a quarter of a million people down.
