Please keep the air show going as for when I hear and see these amazing aircraft in our sky's it sends that shivery feeling down my back, it takes me back to the east end of London where I was born in 1936 and grew up watching our fighters dog fighting in the sky.

Since I was a boy in the 1980s I've been a big fan of aviation and Waddington, as my local airshow, played a major role in fostering that interest. But it also introduced me to Lincolnshire's wider aviation heritage, particularly the wartime days of Bomber Command and the V-bombers of the Cold War, and the incredible history and stories of heroism that those turbulent times brought. It would be a great shame for Lincolnshire to lose that connection and ability to inspire future generations. I strongly believe that Waddington should continue to host its annual airshow, but would also support Scampton and other options if it ultimately cannot.

I fully support the request that the RAF investigate and find an alternative to Waddington. As an Ex RAF Technician NCO I believe we need to inspire the young to commit to the same high values we observed throughout the RAF by showing them what can be achieved by dedication and experience. An Air-show does all this and more....

We have to keep the airshow around the Lincoln area. Scampton would be a great place.

We definitely need & want an Airshow in bomber county. Scampton would be ideal. But if that was not possible then Coningsby would also be ideal.

Echo what everyone else says, Lincolnshire has a massive relationship with the R.A.F, don't let us lose that.

This is a great event for Lincolnshire in many ways and to a certain degree is a tradition for this County.

Back in the 80s my wife & I use to attend lots of airshows, Finningley, Binbrook Swinderby. Waddington was great & we shall miss attending but Scampton, home of the Dambusters would be great. Only pity is the Vulcan won't be there. Can remember many happy hours watching Vulcans land & the eerie noise of one taking off, you would never forget. Scampton would be an ideal choice to replace Waddington & with our rich Bomber Command history in Lincolnshire would be ideal
