My late father would be incredibly disappointed if Lincolnshire no longer hosted a show. He was in the RAF & took me and my brother to watch shows & flying all over Lincolnshire when I was young. We regularly caught the Arrows practising at Scampton as well as lightnings, the odd Vulcan & Tornados flying in the locality. For us Lincolnshire & the RAF has always been a big part of our formative years and I would like to see that continue. A show at Scampton or Cranwell would be amazing. Without shows where they matter the RAF will lose its connection to the past and won't have the opportunity to inspire the next generation.

First RAF Finningley now Waddington.. The amount of ppl that go every year over the 2 days is massive.. what a shame to lose that.. we need to save this Air Show!!

Find another display venue if it cannot continue at Waddington. The power's that be should Take into account what we the paying public want! That would make a nice change.

this is all because of shoreham and shouldnt be allowed to happen. what happened there is an accident. if they close all the airshows its a lose to this country

We must ensure that the International Airshow continues at a suitable location in Lincolnshire. The heritage of the RAF and Lincolnshire demands no less.

I've been going to the RAF Waddington Airshow since it moved from RAF Finningley many years ago. I am totally gutted it is not being hosted again. Thousands of people go to this show, not only is it special for the general public but the good causes it raises money for. The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the Royal Air Forces Association and to local charities supported by RAF Waddington. Over the past eighteen years, the annual air show has raised £2.82 million for charity. Both charities provide financial, practical and emotional support to all members of the RAF both past and present. We all lose out if RAF Waddington finishes for ever.

This is a Wonderful airshow and certainly should not be attempted to be replaced by any private affliliate. Given the lack of other shows in the north its return should be easy to reinstate.

I've been visiting this airshow since i was a little boy, flight has inspired me and now i have 2 small boys i wish to pass the experience of an airshow to them. The Waddington International Airshow is part of Lincolnshire Bomber County history and should stay.

Having served at RAF Waddington during the early '80s, my partner's disappointment at the cancellation of the airshow was obvious. It had almost become like a pilgrimage, being able to return to his old stomping ground. Even if a return to Waddington is no longer possible, we do hope that another RAF event can be organised in the county. There is something rather special about it, especially with the family connections to service there.

To be great this country needs to remember the past and those who went before, showcase what we're good at in the present and ensure we inspire the younger generation to secure our future. Waddington does all three.

I learned to fly in the RAF in RAF Syerston. I came back to RAF Manby and Strubby to complete my RAF Career. We have visited Waddington for memorable occasions including the last operational flight of the Canberra PR9.
