The airshow must be re-instated due to it's central location, encouraging visitors from all over the North and Midlands. The special bond between the RAF and the community in Lincoln will certainly be affected as this event is seen as the RAF giving something back for all the support it has received from it's neighbours. I lived in Lincoln for 7 years and came to know many RAF personnel who lived in and outside of the base and the pride they have for the airshow is immense. This decision would affect the interest in the RAF and recruitment of the future airmen and airwoman throughout a large part of England.

Airshow like this are hugely popular and help build interest in, and support for, our armed services. The promotional benefits on the young, inspiring them are so important.

RAF shows must stay in their home, the wonderful, welcoming county of Lincolnshire.

With out a doubt Warrington air show has in my view no equal in the north of England. Another venue must be found, Scampton would be ideal.

I would not be able to attend, as I am not car owner .When you think of ALL the Battle of Britain air shows we used to have ,as well as other military events it just shows how pathetic and low this country has now sunk, even my own Corps memorial weekend is nothing like it was ten years ago.

It is such a well managed event and excellent venue - but it's understandable why it can't be used for now. Hope you can find another onenearby.

There will be an emptiness in the skies over Lincolnshire, the Delta lady will be sorely missed.

This airshow has been gradually building over many years to the magnificent event it has become in recent years. To stop it now would be a great shame. An event which brings together the best of the current air force plus commemorating the sacrifice of previous generations has to continue.

Surely the R.A.F. owe it all of their bomber crews past & present to keep their memory alive, with an airshow in the heart of bomber country!

We must remember the past.

With all the recent cuts in the RAF by the current government I would have thought that they (the RAF) would want public support. Cancelling the Waddington Airshow is not the way to acheive this.

The aeroplane was invented in this country. We led the field of aviation until the 1970s, we cannot allow this magnificent history to be lost because of a few narrow minded left wing protestors with nothing better to do. Long live aviation in Lincolnshire!
