Many times the food is kept under the appropriate temperatures which could lead to microbial growth which could lead to foodbourne illness. The food choices do not represent the diversity of the students. Many consumers have dietary restrictions. Examples: Vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten/lactose intolerances. It is not everyday where there are adequate and nutritious food options for these students. There are also times where a certain dish will “run out” and cannot be made. These conditions among others are not acceptable.

I use to attend this campus. Food was disgusting. I would say the best thing they had on campus was Subway, but that was rat infested.

I just wish for our food to be better prepared, stored, and taken care of. I also wish for a wider variety of choices rather than the same choices that some days aren’t even edible.

People pay too much money for this food not to be good. You dont see UAB or UA dealing with these issues. My sister was determined to go to a HBCU, but these are the conditions that come along with it along with other issues that I'm not even about to start on or I will end up writing a book on here. Do better HBCUs!

The food is either over cooked, undercooked or flavorless. Whoever made the macaroni and cheese today (02/19/2019) it was disgusting. It tasted like water and powdered cheese! Listen I am aware that the university serves the lowest grade of meat they can find to save money; however, students should be able to choose the meal plans we want because a $2K meal plan for bad food is ridiculous! Some weeks I dont even go to the café at all. The hotdogs taste like pure salt, the burgers taste like wet cardboard between stale buns. Please stop serving us SLICES OF HAM WITH 3 DIFFERENT SIDES! SOME OF US DON'T EAT PORK!! HOW ABOUT 2 ENTREÉ OPTIONS AND 2 SIDES? Please get it together, starting from management on down.

I'm very disappointed. My daughter is a sophomore year she went her freshman year also, I spend too much money for her not to get a decent meal and I'm all the way up here in Minnesota. She's talking about leaving Alabama A&M. She was very excited about going to historically black college when she first started. This is just sad!
