Let me also add that this is like the Town of Stupid Charleroi trying to Rescue a Theater. The Coyle is too far gone and is a big Liability against the town. Just a big joke.

If you would Only SUPPORT Monessen by showing up at The Council Meetings that You were Elected to do, you cannot do anything without Councils Approval....So therefore your Proposal is MOOT. You cannot save Buildings when they are too far gone. I love Old Buildings because they were made to last. Plus the fact that this Post is So god-Damn OLD !

Good luck! It is a beautiful building and to restore it would be wonderful. To tear it down would be a shame. You can never replace a structure like that.

I am for anything that will help bring Monessen back to like. We need to have business to fill the buildings before money is put in to this project. I hope that this is the first step to bring Monessen back to life.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck. The governments in those towns are terrible for those sorts of things. I wanted to do the same thing with the old bank building in Monongahela, but they were not willing to work with anyone unless they paid thousands in engineering studies to prove the building was even usable. ugh. Best of luck and I sincerely hope it works out!

This is truly a worthwhile project! May the Monessen leaders and community catch the vision for complete restoration of 500 Donner Ave. The business plan is well researched and innovative. Congratulations to Matt Shorraw for his undaunted passion and commitment for bringing meaningful purpose back to this historic Monessen building

Preservation of historic buildings is vital to the energy and character of a downtown business district. The revitalization of a city must start with the restoration of a functional and appealing downtown business district.

Cool idea man. I know the program I used to work with showed me how much something like this can help a community by empowering youth with music. Good luck man!

Monessen is a town with beautiful architecture. Matt is someone with vision and passion and he sees the beauty in the town as well as everyone who has signed the petition. It is also a town that needs rebuilt and all of its historical buildings need restored so the town can feel fresh and new. This will be the start of something tremendous and much needed!
