I am proud 1974 graduate Greyhound. I have lived in St Augustine Florida since the late 70's. This town is 450 years old. We have preserved or restored hundreds of homes and buildings since before the Civil war. Today as I speak . dozens of old Victorian homes that once looked like they were going to collapse any minute. are now the most beautiful homes you can ever want to live in. I know Monessen has gone thru a lot of depression. Keep this building. And all the other's. Restore them. History is all Monessen has. For GOD'S sake keep it. John Druash.

Matt I hope that you can get this building and make it your dream come true. It is a wonderful idea and such a positive thing for the community and the young.

I sincerely hope that this works out, it is time for Monessen to be known for more than drugs.

One of my jobs was working at the Health Mart as a cashier and then learning to become an assistant manager. The building needs a lot of work but is architecturally beautiful. I would love to see it renovated and become a beauty again instead of an eyesore. We need more people like Matt who will rebuild Monessen instead of tear it down.

I fully support the preservation of this building. The original architecture is beautiful. This building, when renovated, could be the cornerstone in the revitalization of Monessen. Mr. Sharrow is a true visionary for my former home town. Monessen is lucky to have him as citizen and a true community participant.

This would bring a much needed positive presence in Monessen while preserving a bit of the past. It could be the start of a Renaissance in this town!

If I remember correctly, the top floor was were City Council held their meetings. I remember being there years ago. While dirty, the architecture of the room was spectacular. I also remember many old portraits and fraternal composites, all large scale and professionally framed. Hope the historic society has them to preserve Monessens history. I think most were during the Parente mayoral reign but several before that based on the gentlemen's dress code. I truly support your efforts

Why shouldn't something be done to help restore the city!
