Thank EU! And Happy New Year

I ashamed to be British. I consider myself still European

So sad to no longer be part of the EU ..... leaving is tragic and not ensuring a reasonable Deal unforgiveable.... the right wing deceives the people of UK once again. My perception is

I am so sorry. Love Europe. We are not the UK government

My hope is for the UK to return to the EU as soon as possible.

I am ardently hoping that my country - having realised what a catastrophic mistake it has made - will eventually be petitioning to rejoin the EU. After 4 years of having to deal with our duplicitous government’s negotiators, I would understand totally why the EU might not wish to have anything to do with us ever again, but I believe our destinies are inevitably interlinked and will do all I can to keep the spirit of friendship and cooperation between us alive. Thank you for the last forty seven glorious years, good luck in the stormy economic seas ahead, and please, please, don’t give up on us. We are committing a very stupid act of self harm but, when the truth dawns on our deluded and deceived voters, I suspect (hope) we will be sheepishly asking to be let back in where we so obviously belong.

Heartbroken. But you are still our neighbours and, I hope, our friends.

I hope I can live long enough for us to return to the fold. Best wishes.

I will always think of myself as a European. I am devastated that my Grandchildren will no longer have the amazing experiences and advantages that we have had as part of the EU. I will never forgive this government for what they have done.

I would like to say thank you too but also to say that I am so desperately sad about being forced to leave where I feel I belong.

I hope one day UK will become closer again even rejoin if we are accepted. Thank you
