Dear Mr. Thomas and the University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics:
The alumni, families, friends, and fans of the University of Illinois Marching Illini would like to express appreciation for the decision to fund bringing the group to the Heart of Dallas Bowl on December 26th. Members of the Marching Illini literally do give blood, sweat, and tears to their efforts in preparing the high quality of musicianship and visual pageantry to their performances and appearances. Throughout the season, they have been unwavering in the support, enthusiasm, and energy they bring to the "Game Day Experience" at the University of Illinois, all while also maintaining high standards of personal conduct and citizenship. They truly represent all that is good about the University of Illinois and deserve the first class treatment that they exhibit without fail.
Thank you greatly for rewarding the efforts and the hard work of the members and staff of the University of Illinois Marching Illini.

This will be my first Christmas away from home, and I have the comfort in knowing it'll be with 360 of my best friends. Thank you so much for supporting the Marching Illini on our adventure to Dallas.
Thank you very much for you support of the Marching Illini! Being able to travel and support our teams in any sport is always a blessing, and a phenomenal opportunity for those of us in the group! The Marching Illini will always be there to stand behind our athletics, and we appreciate that they stand behind us! Thanks again!
THANK YOU for sending the entire awesome, incredibly dedicated and talented MI to Dallas to support the football team. We will miss our daughter at home on Christmas but we're so happy she'll get to experience the Bowl Game.
I'm a current member of the MI, and I am absolutely thrilled that we are able to go and support our team at this game. After my freshman year I did not have much faith that we, as the band, would ever see the post season, and it means the alot to me that DIA was generous enough to allow us to attend as well. So THANK YOU DIA. We will be there with you football team the whole way!
I was a member of the Marching Illini in 1999 when the band almost wasn't funded to attend the Micronpc.com bowl game. I appreciate the recognition of everything the band does to support the DIA in the coding to take the band to the game this year. GO ILLINI!

As a former MI band member who attended the MicronPC.com Bowl Game, I can tell you that having the opportunity to support the team in their post season is one of the highlights of my college career. We are so proud of our teams and are extremely grateful that we are permitted to be part of their journey. We LOVE our Illini and bleed orange and blue!
