TfL finally confirmed they are adding the peak service capacity we demanded for the Beckton line. It took a long time to be taken seriously but the adjustment is happening. We will be watching to see that these trains actually show up on the platform.
We the undersigned wish to register in the strongest terms our dissatisfaction with the timetable relating to the new Stratford International to Beckton DLR extension. Users were lead to believe the service was to improve on the Beckton line once this extension was completed. However at peak rush hour times when the service is required, there are no additional services. There are 2000 people working in the Local Authority Head Office at Royal Albert, of which 75% use public transport, in addition to this there are the students at UEL, the majority of which require this service at peak times. This is without the occasions when there is an event at the ICC or Excel Centre. The timetable needs to be adjusted to allow for additional trains to supplement the existing service which is woefully inadequate. We believe that this is discrimination against the Beckton customers who use the service every day in favour of the better off business customers who occasionally use London City Airport.
Reaching this point in our campaign has been a heavy labor but seeing this growth feels like a vital win. It is exhausting to fight for basic service but knowing others feel this same frustration keeps me moving. We need to stay focused on the officials who have ignored us for far too long.

Try getting on at peak times it is horrific. TFL needs to actually look at who uses these lines instead of just catering to the airport.

Absolute joke. Getting to the office is a nightmare every single morning because the trains are always packed full. Sort it out TFL.

Its not fair. Thousands of us rely on this everyday and we barely fit on the platform let alone the train.

Commuting from Beckton is getting impossible. We get forgotten about constantly while everyone else gets priority.
