This really is a troubling issue for Eagle Lake and Crooked Lake home owners.

There is no reason for this not to be taken care of. This is why we have elected officials.

This delay is an unacceptable performance. Someone with the influence to make this happen needs to step up.

My home of 41 years on Eagle Lake is my biggest investment. Losing it to an encroaching flood will be a major setback for my financial future. Help expedite the legal process to provide relief for this area of hundeds of vulnerable homes. Hopeful...

Our property has been in the family for over 68 years, and this is the first time we have ever seen anything like this. We hope and pray that the new furnace we had to get does not get flooded. If there is any way possible please try to move the process ahead as soon as possible. I could not believe how flooded Treasure Island was when I drove over to see it . This is really sad and very devastating for all of us. Please help !

For the past five months, I’ve watched my parents home, on Treasure Island Drive, be slowly but steadily encroached by the lake. What was 40 feet of lawn and 10 ft of beach, is now 1 ft of lawn, and thousands of dollars in desperate effort to save their home. I keep asking what is going to be done, and my parents keep reiterating the little they have been told. If this problem is not immediately treated as an emergency, they, alone with 79 neighbors, will lose access to their home, and quite possibly may lose their home entirely to this disaster. I am shocked that this situation is not being treated as an emergency. As another commenter stated, the likelihood of sewage contamination is increasing by the moment. The cost of mitigating this disaster far outweighs the cost of the distaster. Where will my parents live? Where will the other residents of Traesure Island, and Eagle Lake, and surrounding lakes, live? Something must be done. Enough red tape! Action is needed, immediately!
