The high water flooding situation in Texas Township needs immediate attention. The township has almost everything in place to start pumping. The holdup, or bottleneck, in the process is the DEQ permit; this needs to happen soon or we are going to have a serious public health issue on our hands with the growth of mold in homes that are flooded. We need help now.

Not all natural disasters occur instantaneously but they are still natural disasters and demand to be treated with the same sense of urgency.

Avoidable and preventable disasters are just that, avoidable and preventable. These are good members of a strong community who are following the chain of command yet are met with delays and are dismissed. You have an opportunity to not only save homes but save the potential livelihood and financial future for so many. This disastrous outcome is preventable by your quick action. It’s the right thing to do. It’s the honorable thing to do. You’ve selected a career in public service, I hope to see you use it to serve the public. Because this is what that looks like.

This is extremely frustrating how the delay of an approval is catastrophic to families and their homes. I just don’t get that the delay is ok.

PLEASE HELP OUR LAKES!! Crooked Eagle and Pine Island. We have a flood entering basements and into a slider windows. Pine Island Lake keeps rising by the day! Complete lawns underwater. Standard septic tanks and drain fields in danger from groundwater. Had to put 80ft of sandbags down to keep water out. Bags are stacked 3ft high. We desperatly need a way to move this water out! We have waited a year can no longer hold out.

Mr. Toy, We are spearheading an effort that will benifit many home owners and voters in the towndhip. Roads and homes within miles continue to be impacted by the continued increase in water table height. We need your intervention on this matter.

Help is needed immediately! Homes and properties are being rapidly destroyed. We are ready to go with the pumping project, but are being stymied by the delays in obtaining the governmental permit. We trust our government to make responsible decisions to make our county, state, and nation a safe place to live, but in this case, the government is failing!
