I was disappointed to hear that the women's cat 3 RR was reduced from 66 to 33mi this year. It's my understanding that many of the women suffered from heat exhaustion last year, so I'm assuming that the race was shortened in order to (hopefully) prevent that. As a local racer I'd much prefer to start before the heat and keep the same distance if at all possible. Thanks for your consideration! I missed state last year and am super stoked to race it this year. See you at the start line!

Please consider this petition. Is not only fair but it is necessary especially if we want to promote women's cycling.

Please do what is right and fair for all concerned. The current schedule is not optimal for the women to compete at the level they are capable of and deserve

I'm not living in Texas right now but travel back frequently and would highly prefer earlier start with a longer distance if I came back for this race.

I've always complained about women that complain about pro purses being so small. The reason being that at the local level they are not active enough. Support the ladies at the local level and adjust their schedule, and they'll love you for it. Us guys are going to show up no matter what. You know that.
