Make Texas High School Bowling a Recognized UIL Sport

Needs to be done. If Golf and Tennis are already UIL high school sports, so should bowling.

This is a huge source of scholarships in other states. It also allows for equal boys and girls teams.

I am a high school bowling coach and I feel that this should be recognized and become a UIL sport in Texas. Participating in bowling helps teach kids team work, kids don't have to have the physical prowess that some of the other sports require, helps them with mental abilities, and helps them develop confidence.

I am Kimgwood HS bowling coach and very much want UIL recognition. Kimgwood won't let bowlers receive lettermans recognition.

Been L.D. Bell coordinator for most of my hugh school life, I started bowling in this program. All the hard work we put in as a team and we are one of the most successful teams at the school after many times compeating at state. I woulf love to see this amazing sport be brought to light in high schools.

Bowling is a sport with Team attributes and attracts a wide range of different athletes. Provides new opportunities for some that can't participate in other sports.

I agree 100%. I am the assistant coach for the Jaguar Bowling Club (Johnson HS in San Antonio) and UIL recognition would do wonders for the bowlers, coaches, and sponsors.

I bowled all 4 years in high school and I will say that all the points mentioned are 100% true. Bowling is as much a sport as football or baseball or soccer and should be a UIL sport.
