Bowling should be a UIL sport. If golf is a UIL sport, bowling should be also.

The Bowlers prepare and perfect their skills almost daily. Unlike other sports that are seasonal Bowling is year around. The Parents spend large sums of money on equipment, travel and clothing only to have their sport relegated to a Club. What Club Member drags in 90 Pounds of equipment, is required to pay fees, and hurl a 15 Pound Ball down a Lane at 300-450 Revs for 4-5 Hours. A High School Bowler or should I say a " High School Cluber "

Bowling deserves to be recognized as a sport as a high schooler and this would allow serious bowlers the required practice time to really enhance their skills throughout the year just like any other highschool recognized sport. It would also open the audience for greater participation and lift many limits set on the athletes trying to participate. Hopefully one day this is put in place to ensure the future of bowling!

There are scholarships out there for bowling. It is like football,baseball ect. for some kids to get into college.
