We, the undersigned, believe that Gladestry Church-in-Wales Voluntary Controlled Primary School is a sustainable school and should remain open. The school is educationally outstanding and an exemplar of best practice. It is a thriving school with few surplus places and increasing pupil numbers. Its most recent school inspection confirms that it returns "good value for money".
We believe that the informal consultation, as currently proposed, is too limited in scope, and urge the Cabinet of Powys County Council to implement the recommendation of the John Beddoes Area Project Board that "the full range of models be presented for informal consultation", not just the 3 school model.
Ridiculous idea. Our schools are doing great and the council just wants to save pennies while ruining our community. Leave Gladestry alone!!
