A request that the speed limit been reduce was minute in the Ward 4 committee meeting and again before the "signing off" of the road in December 2020. A suggestion was also made for a 4 way stop or traffic light at the corners of Ornamental Nursery as Groenkloof Rheebok Retirement Centre. Thank you

Verlaging van die spoedgrens na 80 is hoogs aanbeveelbaar. Die kruising by die kwekery moet voorsien word van n vier rigting stop. Die kruising is gevaarlik en die beperkte sigbaarheid agv die bult skep n gevaar.

Please lower the speed and install speed cameras as well as on Morrison road which runs parallel. Too many innocent people die on these two roads due to speeding and cars that overtake on the double lines. Need speed cameras urgently please.

To many accidents on this road

Speed on the R102 kills wild animals and cyclists. Please reduce speed limit on road. Or implement speed calming at all crossings.

The part of the R102 from The SPAR at Greatbrak to Kleinbrak is a built up residential area with several turn offs and hidden entrances which makes the current speed limit of a 100km/h very dangerous. It is also difficult to access the R102 safely with speed of upcoming traffic.

I would like to add my signature to this Petition as at present the R102 runs adjacent to a built up area where the predominant age of the people living in the area are from people having retired. I am fully aware that the R102 is a Regional road however I believe that it is important that people have a say in the safety of residents of the area. We find a number of cyclists on this road and I believe it is nescessary that the speed limit be curtailed to 80 kmph or less. It is great to have such a nice road to travell on but unfortunately motorists see this as a reason to speed. Since the new road has come into service we seem to be having an increase in heavy vehicles using this road which naturally creates a risk of accident. I would even go as far as to petition the government to look at providing an on and off ramp from the N2 at the Sorgfontein crossing. This would then divert a number of the heavy vehicles from the Industrial area on to the N2. This highway is designed so as to cater for heavy vehicles and would go a long way to further make the R102 a far safer road to travell on for both residents and holiday makers as well.

Traffic not adhering to 100 kmph speed limit - big accident waiting to happen at crossing where Reebok/Tergniet traffic joins this road opposite Ornamental garden nursery. Suggest traffic circle/robot at this intersection.

Please reduce the speed limit and enforce the law strictly!
