The Tennis Nova Scotia Facilities Committee firmly believes that Halifax needs a community tennis centre that has the following characteristics:
- 8-10 courts that can be covered for year-round play (critical mass necessary for programming, community use, events)
- A central location that is in close proximity to residential areas, schools, public transportation, etc.
- Affordable user fees to make it accessible to the community.
- To develop a year round not-for-profit tennis facility that will become the focal point for community tennis programming and junior development in HRM and Nova Scotia.
- To make tennis accessible to residents of HRM.
- To provide affordable tennis programs for all ages.

My kids love tennis but there is nowhere to play once it gets cold. This would be amazing for the community.
Please make this happen! Tennis is so expensive right now and there is barely any court space for public use. We need more affordable options.
Central location is key. If it's too far out of the city no one will use it. Keep it accessible and affordable for the juniors!
GREAT IDEA. Finally a spot to play year round instead of rotting on the couch all winter.
About time! 10 courts is exactly what we need here.

Living in Halifax is tough for tennis players in the winter. We really need indoor courts so we dont have to drive for hours just to get a match in.
