Telos is both a caring teacher and intellectually gifted. There are a group of students at EGR for which he would be a tremendous asset and role model if he was hired. He is uniquely qualified for a teaching position at EGR.

Mr. Alex Constantelos is an amazing teacher. He is enthusiastic, supportive, diligent, and approachable. It is clear that he has a passion to learn and a commitment to share his knowledge with his students. We had the pleasure of having Alex in our home several times this year and we were blown away by his dedication to helping our son, Jacob, master his We The People assignments. We hope in the years to come that Jacob has the opportunity to return to the halls of East Grand Rapids High School and find Mr. Constantelos doing the job he loves. We know he will want to thank him a few more times.

Dear Mrs. Fee and Dr. Shubel, I am emailing you directly as I was not able to sign a petition for Alex "Telos" Constantelos.
Our family has known Telos for some time. We first met Telos whilst our eldest son Max, was a "We The People" participant. We were amazed by Telos's knowledge and passion for all of our students, and his commitment to the program. Telos truly has a passion for teaching and helping our students be successful. Our other son, Alex was on the "We The People" team this year. As in the past, Telos came to as many practices as possible (maybe all of them?) this year and again spent countless extra hours with our students - in addition to the regular scheduled practices every wed eve and sun afternoons. Although the process for "We The People " has been well established by Janice Yates, the additional support from Telos was key to the success of the team this year, as in past years. Telos even participated in our fund raising events. And I would like to point out in particular - the can and bottle drive - that was on a chilly, snowy Saturday, Telos helped from start to finish.
I look forward to the continued success of our students both in and out of the classroom. And many more years of "We The People" top ten in the nation placements!
I KNOW THAT TELOS WILL HAVE AND SHARE THE SAME PASSION, HIS LOVE OF TEACHING AND HIS DEPTH OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE CLASSROOM AT EAST GRAND RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL WHEN HE IS HIRED. We can not let him get away!!!

Alex is truly one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. His unique desire and talent to share this knowledge with students is something East would miss out on should they not hire him!

There is actually no one more perfect for this job. Telos is so kind and just generally wonderful and has been such a great teacher already to all those involved in Weeple that it is time to give more students the experience of Telos

Alex is a natural teacher, something made abundantly clear to me when he coached my We The People team in 2013. Alex consistently made himself available to students with questions, at all times of the day. I can remember reaching out to Alex late at night on more than one occasion for help with an essay or an explanation of some obscure court case. He was a wealth of knowledge, and had a knack for breaking down complex ideas in a way that was easily digestible. Alex also went beyond simply being available, and actively asked students if they were struggling, or if they understood a particular concept. Alex is kind, is intelligent, and never never made me feel silly or stupid for asking questions. Despite never having been employed by East Grand Rapids, I would still consider Alex one of the best teachers I had while a student there. I also cannot emphasize enough his contribution to the We The People Program. His genuine passion for the subject is infectious, and his knowledge invaluable.

Telos brought true passion and heart to the We the People program every single day I had the pleasure of having him as a coach and mentor. He genuinely cares for every single person he comes in contact with, and has the humility to connect with students in a way that makes everyone feel important and supported. Although my time with Alex was short, he made a lasting impact on my life and I admire him as an excellent educator and an amazing person.

Telos is absolutely, without a doubt the most singularly qualified person to hold this position. He has the knowledge and teaching skills to lead any group of students to academic (and competition!) success. I doubt you'll find someone more passionate and capable anywhere else.

We the People is the single best educational opportunity offered at East. Not only does it need to be sustained, it needs to grow into the middle and elementary schools. Telos will be a great candidate to further these objectives.
