Tell the City of Jacksonville not to neglect the soccer fields at Ed Austin Regional Park

I have been with the AFC soccer association for over 10 yrs and have heard over and over again how the city and the city parks division would maintain and improve the soccer fields at Ed Austin regional park and each time we were disappointed either with the work that was done or the lack of upkeep promised. I am sure that budget restrictions and personnel cuts will be blamed; however, as a tax payer and citizen of Jacksonville I would hope that the city parks would be a priority to keep maintained as community gathering spaces.

My daughter played at these fields several years ago, now my Godson and many of my friends children do. Please take care of the fields to give our youth a great place to learn and grow!!

I've watched the changes at the Dunes / Ed Austin park for over 15 years and have always been so proud that our community had access to such wonderful facilities until a recent soccer season. While the new fencing is a wonderful thing, however seeing the condition of the bathrooms, clubhouse area and fields is disappointing.

I've seen soccer players take nasty falls due to thesandy areas from lack of grass on the fields. I worry for their safety.

a great park that has fallen in quality. I have the chance to see a lot of parks, and this one could be fantastic if we had a focused effort on returning these fields to a quality field like I see at other parks.
