The proposed roundabout is a bad idea,as the petition states. Savino's is a downtown Elmira institution of long standing. The Savino family are friendly and run a solid business. They need parking!! It's a no-brainer!

Our community needs to support local businesses in order to keep our economy flowing. On top of that, this area wouldn't benefit from the roud about. The number of accidents there are minimal, i would argue, and businesses would be replaced by what better?

A business that has been in Elmira that long shouldn't have a useless roundabout take customers away. Elmira should concentrate on building business, not hamper the successful ones.

There is no reason to put a rounndabout in Elmira, To take and ruin a business that has been there since I was a little girl growing up in Elmira is not progress,,, it is taking away someone's livelyhood.

This is just plain stupid!!!! Round abouts are supposed to be for safety and for crazy intersections with a whole bunch of streets! Not for a road like Main Street. I don't support this not one bit, and savinos is absolutely right! It's going to make everyone over there lose business because no one will want to travel that way! It's going to cause all kinds of chaos in building it, and it's just going to be a complete mess!!!!!!

No just cause for a roundabout, The prospective site has never had issues the way it is, I don't foresee major improvements to downtown as a result of the roundabout. Leave it alone, and put some true revitalization plans on the table.

There is no need for a round about green space, when there is almost a full acre lot on the corner that is completely underutilized.This will also hurt the adjacent business. Completely unnecessary.
