Just when you think maybe there might be hope for the city of Elmira, they announce another bad idea to spend money on. The roundabouts on route 13 in Horseheads are appropriate in use and size, but the two on Maple street are ridiculous and they don't need another one in downtown. Can you people fire these idiots or are they voted in?

As a taxpaper i feel that this and basically all roundabouts are not necessary, All of my 47 yrs living in Elmira we have been doing just fine without them! People dont know how to use them&thats when accidents occur!!! Plus taking away from local businesses!

Anything to spend money foolishly, we need stores not another roundabout like Maple Ave that's a joke. Just like after the flood we have nothing to show for it. The people who r deciding this need to remember 44 years ago we were something then now we're old buildings that still smell like the FLOOD

i agree these roundabouts are senseless and i think this is a very bad and dangerous spot for one. Put the money into fixing the roads instead of these things

I think it is a bad idea that will make the businesses around where it's gonna be built go out of business. The one on maple ave. Is horrible and not even put in right.

Elmira needs another traffic circle like a fish needs a bicycle. Don't spend a dime of the taxpayers' money on this.
