That road is fine the way it is. Round abouts are irritating. Why spend money on something that will affect the savino business?

Aside from any logical reasons WHY a roundabout WHO will benefit from it? The intersection has worked for more than 100 years why change it now?

A roundabout will not work well in this intersection or help traffic, at all, and it will cause a lot of confusion & accidents! People will bypass and no longer use this intersection, anymore, in the same way they avoid the two roundabouts on Maple Ave. If anything, construct a small, triangular area with concrete edging at the base of the Evergreen Chinese Restaurant parking lot & plant greenery with mulch, but do not build a roundabout. The two roundabouts on Maple Ave. are useless & were a huge waste of tax payer money & people purposely & deliberately avoid them, by driving on the quiet neighborhood streets that are parallel & perpendicular to them. We should learn from the mistake(s) on Maple Ave! There is absolutely no need for a roundabout on Main St. & 3rd St. just to be cool and hip!!!

NO WAY!!! I totally disagree for one whom lives off maple ave what a joke to have! I see kids everyday trying to cross the street where the round a bouts are and cars don't even stop for the children. Due to them not crossing on a corner! Might want a sit a observe that before your decision... Hmmm just saying

No need to create this traffic rotary. Waste of taxpayer money. Traffic in Elmira is not that difficult to disrupt everything, including taking from local business owners.

This is going to hurt more than it will help. You will be deferring traffic from downtown altogether. The city is slowly turning it into a ghost town.
