I'm not sure who started this round about fad but we do not have enough traffic to justify this and this is not a transportation priority the $ could be used much more efficiently.

No roundabout on north main needed. Other better ways to revitalize Elmira.

There are roundabouts on southwest and couple in horseheads....these have done nothing positive for the community...they cause many motorist confusion AMD have cause many accidents....the location picked will cause a serious issue with traffic flow resulting in a decrease in business for specific businesses....I fel there are other appropriate alternatives to manage traffic here

THE WORST IDEA. HAVENT YOU LEARNED ANYTHING FROM THE 2 BACK TO BACK FAILURES ON MAPLE AVE?!?!?
RIDICULOUS. NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE ONLY TRUE MODEL FOR A FUNCTIONAL ROUNDABOUT HAS TO START AT THE SIZE OF THE ONES ON RTE. 13.
ESPECIALLY IF JEOPARDIZING LOCAL BUSINESSES. THIS MONEY COULD BE BETTER SPENT IN THIS TOWN IN SOOOOOO MANY WAYS. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?

Savinos has been a staple to this community for many many years and it is a shame that the City of Elmira is trying to eliminate it.

Come on Dan Mandell, keep the businesses that are there....you don't get rid of them to possibly bring new ones in.....the district rep that spoke on news tonight should be glad they've stayed in business at that site this long.....shame on all of you....get your priorities straight...

I've lived in Elmira my whole life. 22 and a half years. I've gone to school here, and now work here. I've never heard of this area being a problem, and have never had a problem with it personally. The area I do have a problem with is Maple Ave, near Brand Park. This is the area where the City of Elmira thought it was also a great idea to put in roundabouts. I hate driving down that street, as nobody knows how to use these roundabouts and frankly I don't think people care to use them correctly. I've seen way too many close calls at these roundabouts, and now it's my understanding that there's talk of the City even thinking of taking them out. Let's save the people of Elmira from another headache, and put the money to better use.

This is stupid. Remember when they took out the parking on North Main. Then Elmira put it back. They got rid of Eldridge Park. Thank GOD it is back! Don't ruin this section. Work on Water St and down town! The college kids have been safe for years!

Roundabouts make no sense in the city of Elmira. Remove the ones that have been put in place and do not put any more in.

I drive through here every morning on my way to work. This will just add confusion and congestion to this route, not to mention the very valid points made by Savino's about the effect it will have on the businesses there. These roundabouts are not productive at all, they do nothing but slow down the flow of traffic and create a danger in that everybody is trying to speed through and beat the car next to them. Huge waste of taxpayer money. Please don't do this.

This is a mistake. This business has been here 40 yrs. This is how Elmira thinks it will better itself?, by run out time you bored business. Bull@$!#. This is not the way to do it. Build a parking lot off street close to them that the customer can avoid the circle. This might be an and we to to problem. This is just one more reason for me not to visit Elmira. You keep fixing thing that are not broke and wasting money.

If the issue is removing the red light why not just use the stop sign God knows people have a lot of difficulty with the roundabouts I think they need to invest in a study on that
