Tell the City of Elmira NO to a Roundabout on North Main Street!

This intersection in no way requires a round-about. The confusion it will cause for area business, church & residents will far outweigh any conceivable benefit. Let the state/feds keep their money & let us keep our neighborhood intact.

A huge waste of tax payer money. Please reconsider using this money for something way better.

The “roundabouts” on Maple Avenue are a JOKE! They were not thought out beforehand and poorly executed and have simply become a nuisance. Why subject the population to more ill conceived crap like this? Elmira has survived this long without this so stop wasting money on these foolish ideas and try paving some streets that sorely need repair.

Fix our roads and stop wasting money on foolishness, our roads are a mess

Why is it fair to threaten a family's longtime business. That family has contributed much to the economy in Elmira with various businesses. Not a good way to thank them.

I think it's a waste of money

I support the concerns of the owners of Savino's . It seems like that somebody is making money off these roundabout. This is not New Jersey. They may work there with the traffic. We do not have that kind of traffic and never will.

These people are getting out of hand with these Roundup boats I do not believe in them and I really think the ones they do have Place need to come up there's other things this city can put money on to fix other than putting stupid roundabout soon

There's no need for a round about. The ones on maple ave make no sense. The one on north main will cause those few stores to close. Why is it Elmira always chases the business people out

The roundabouts already in the city, on Maple Ave., are nothing but a nuisance. Are we so desperate to waste taxpayer's money that it's necessary to not only create yet another nuisance, but also to potentially negativity impact a small business's ability to continue to operate in the city? Let's hope not.

I already complained at city hall in january's meeting, they said they had to build this or give the state back 4 million dollars which they don't have

We don't need a round about. Not necessary. Fix the parking issue for businesses before you good ahead with this. BH

Is this a fad? It seems that cities and transportation depts. always think that Roundabouts are the answer for speeding, too many traffic lights which causes the city high utility bills. However they build these multi million dollar cluster F*#ks and don't teach anyone how to use them. Maple Ave is a mess. What a joke. Route 13 is an accident waiting to happen and 328 in Pine City is another example of NYS waste of money that was much needed elsewhere. Why doesn't Elmira concentrate on getting more business in town instead of trying to make the current ones close or relocate. Leave Savino's and others alone.

Traffic circles and roundabouts are just asking for accidents, not helping the area.

Elmira needs to make the city a safe decent place to live before they beautify one small section of it. Spend the money on the police dept. Clean up the drugs and criminal elements then we can beautify. I had two drug addled teens have sex in my front yard and our city fathers want to build a roundabout. That is disgusting. Time to elect new city fathers.

Roundabouts are more dangerous than people think. Don't waste the money and leave small businesses alone.
