We need public water now! Living in North Merrick for over 44 years and paying such high rates while our friends, who also live in North Merrick, but north of Jerusalem Ave. (and 3 blocks from us!) have Hempstead Water and pay 1/3 the price! This is discriminatory!

American Water unfairly price gouged me and others. Another conglomerate will do the same. Only with the help of Sen. Todd Kaminsky was I able to fight them. they have and will unfairly assault our checkbooks.

American water is highway Robert. Less than a mile up the road the water bills are 1/4 of what they are here. We do everything we can to conserve but pay absurd prices upwards of $200 a month. Stop letting rich companies control our government and people. Nobody can afford to live here anymore

It is terribly unfair that a portion of Town of Hempstead residents are being charged FIVE TIMES the amount for water compared to what all the other Town of Hempstead residents pay, especially when it's going to a water company's greedy CEO and cronies, on top of the ToH politicians who are supposed to be protecting us from such rip-offs.

I want public water! Outrageous what American water charges when Rockville Centre and Freeport practically pay nothing and they r getting there water same place underground springs of Long Island! What a rip off!

Our water bill for 2 adults went through the roof! It was around $160 and now it’s $300! That’s unheard of! We only water outside for 20 mins in summer only.
