I used to have the exorbitant Jamaica Water Supply. Now I have a Municipal Water Authority. 25 years later my water rates are what I used to pay, but there was a significant reduction at the time of conversion. I can only imagine what my water rates would be now if it was still a private company - who used to give employees discounts to Disneyworld!

Water should not be sold to people as if it were a luxury good. Water is a basic human need and should be provided at very low cost to everyone under the strict regulation and/or control of the government. No more profiteers!
