Water bill is ridiculous. This is a utility with no one controlling this company.

My water bill is out of control and american water cant seem to explain themselves. It is not ok. People can barely put food on their tables and now have to decide to pay a high water bill than feed their children. Unacceptable. This need to STOP NOW.

We have been robbed by this criminal company for long enough, we do not need another for profit company to come in and continue to charge rates 500% higher. We need municipal water NOW

Water is too precious a commodity to be governed by the profit motive.

American Water provides poor service, but high prices

We pay ten times the amount for private water than residents of our neighbors in the Town of Hempstead that have public water. There is no equity in the current system. We need a public takeover of American Water and not a sale to another private entity.

Water is a basic need for society and should be provided at the lowest possible cost. It is a government's basic function to provide that all citizens are provided this affordable service to close as cost as possible.
