Tell MTA to Deny Commercial Entrance Planned In Front of East Broadway Subway Entrance & M9 Bus Stop

I live in the area and need to walk on this block daily. It's already extremely busy and hard to walk on. My little dog almost gets trampled on every time we walk on the block. There are enough bars and restaurants in this neighborhood, we don't need another loud late-night spot. Also, this restaurant is not playing fair. Their initial proposal said they were a family restaurant, then after first round approvals asked for a liquor license until 4am! That is NOT necessary for a "family restaurant."

this corner is already congested to a point that I avoid it. Putting an entrance here would make this corner even more chaotic. Please don't allow this entrance to be put here.

Its ridiculous to have the entrance to a restaurant at such a congested small space. For the safety of our community please rethink yoir stance on this matter. I live and work here and I along with my neoghbors shouldn't have to deal with the chaos this will cause us.

Violation of NYS law to have a commercial business bar enterance within the Public transportation Subway enterance and public M9 bus stop..We the local residents request .please deny with this unlawful business.

We do not need another establishment serving liquor during the night. We already have enough loud drunks from the two restaurants on division st. This community needed a bakery which served us (residents) for over a decade - I liked the pastries, buns and coffee. Quick stop in pick up coffee and breakfast and off to work. Taco joint does not serve the community but hipsters flooding in from outer boroughs. We already have one on the block around the corner - Dimes.

Why have the city pay for a new entrance just so this business can have a liquor license. While I'm sure it's not really that simple this seems like a poor use of mta funds.

Streets around this area are more and more dangerous with the out of control private buses. It feels like a town from the Wild West of the 1800's with really dismal order and haphazard planning.

It's way too crowded to have a bar entrance next to subway on Rutgers street. Please Deny request.

Highly congested area with seniors, children and commuters. Not safe for residents.

Our streets and sidewalks are already to crowded and dangerous. We need relief and mitigation tactics to alleviate the congestion, not add a door in front of one of our busiest subway entrances that will bring more bottleneck to our streets and sidewalks.

As a resident, I know there already is tremendous congestion at this location. There are so many people entering and exiting the subway station here and waiting for the M9, not to mention people trying to move through these crowds just to ge to the end of the block! Also, ironically, this entrance would still fall considerably short of the 200 feet required. Just measure it yourself and you will see.

As a former resident I agree with this.

This is already an extremely crowded block, with a high concentration of senior citizens and children passing by regularly. Placing a door here would really compound the risk of accidents and seems totally unnecessary, especially to accommodate an establishment that does not provide a public benefit to the neighborhood.

I use this exit on occasion and there are already crowding issues. Adding a door here will add to that.

Im saddened this place even opened where it did - please dont take away access to our subway stop. We've had enough with Mr Fongs and Forgetmenot's already!

Not only is moving the door a slap in the face of the spirit of the 200 foot law in order to get a full liquor license, but it adds insult to injury with the addition of another wave of pedestrians moving counter cross wise of the bus and subway riders. Funny how the city fathers worry about soda and salt, blot the landscape with Citibikes, yet at the same time facilitate the proliferation of businesses selling hard liquor.

Please do not allow this bar to open. That area will be super congested. There are enough bars in the area and another one won't benefit the community one bit.

For all the reasons already mentioned by others who commented, the idea of a bar being allowed to open at this location---through relocating its entrance, as a tricky way of circumventing the 200 foot law---and in the process placing its door so that it creates a grace safety hazard, all this is unconscionable. The MTA should absolutely veto this!
