This is an amazing site for many different breeds of wildlife. So many habitats will be destroyed if building does take place here.

There is absolutely no justification for turning this area into another housing estate. It's an important green space for local residents and a haven for protected wildlife. The infrastructure is inadequate to support more development. Its time our council representatives listened to the opinions and wishes of the people they are supposed to be representing.

It would be such a shame to lose Middle Wick rangers. This is a valuable piece of land for the MOD. It would only be used for more houses and put more pressure on all resources including an already stretched NHS and more traffic in an already conjested area of Colchester. NO SALE!!!

We should not get rid of anymore green space. Colchester it built up enough as it is.

As a member if Essex Field club I know surveys have been done recently and it is a very important wildlife site that must not be built on.

Yes the Mod would raise more money for a development OR could this be part of the Conservative Government pledge to plant more trees. Let's see if the Government are serious about their environmental pledges.

The wick is a green space valuable not only to the local built up community but also to a diverse range of wildlife and flora.

Middlewick Ranges have been used by the MOD to train servicemen for many years. Many of those who trained here will not have returned having given their lives for our freedom. It is only right that given the already extremely built up area that middlewick is in, that this whole area should be left as a green, open memorial country park in remembrance of those who didn't return from conflict and for the public to enjoy as a permanent memorial.

As a kid spent my life walking and playing over middlewick ranges. The place is a haven for wild life. From lizards, snakes, newts up to larger mammals and birds. It needs leaving as a wildlife park. A green space for people to enjoy. Colchester is quickly disappearing under concrete and bricks. The infrastructure in that area cannot cope with the thousands of extra cars hundreds more flats and house would produce.
