There is building everywhere, and more to come, so open space is more important than ever! Especially when it is a very natural area! Had many years playing over the wick, best years ever !!

It's to beautiful to build on, we need some green lungs left in Colchester

I agree, it should be a nature reserve. Lots of countryside goi for housing so this should be saved for future generations

This is imperative not only for the protection of the diverse, rare and endangered wildlife but also the mental health of residents.

Leave the wick as a nature reserve. This area needs lungs to breathe. Not more houses with infrastructure to support them

This would be horrendous for the infrastructure in place. There already isn’t enough roads, schools, GP’s. Traffic is already horrendous. There aren’t enough school places and it currently takes 6 weeks to get a doctors appointment at Abbeyfield Medical Centre if you want to book an appointment. Horrendous. On top of this the wildlife in that area would suffer and lose their habitat.

This area has so much existing wildlife with established habitats. Please do not destroy it in favour of yet more housing which is already oversubscribed here. This area is of so much more benefit as a natural parkland.

This is out local area being ex military myself.it cant uudt he built.on the area needs useveing and the amount of ordnance makes this not feasible

I think you should leave that place alone it’s got lovely nature and wildlife there and is a wonderful place to go relax

It's a beautiful place. It truly is. It's been around for literally generations. Why destroy something so perfect and convenient for something, though needed, so monsterous and unfacilitated correctly.

This area is so precious due to it’s rarity and it’s vast biodiversity.. The last and largest green space left on this side of Colchester..

Too many wildlife habitats are being destroyed. Concentrate on re developing existing and/ or brownfield sites

Infrastructure will not carry the weight of an extra 1000 houses. Site has been previously deemed to wet for human habitation. It is a habitat for many wildlife species, many of which are protected. Anthony.

Ridiculous idea, will contribute to the carbon footprint and hammer another nail into the coffin of a town which already has a broken traffic and health infrastructure

A country park bit 1000 houses the wildlife that is here should be able to stay and not be pushed out because if houses that the town doesn’t need

No housing! Make middlewick a nature and wildlife area. These natural habitats are being taken away ... We need as many as possible please.
